The room is advertised as unfurnished, but if needed, I can provide some furniture to help you settle in. The house is spacious and welcoming, with plenty of shared areas for you to enjoy. While it may have a bit of “cluttered charm,” it’s kept clean and tidy by professional cleaners, and a gardener takes care of the lawn. With tea, coffee, and basic kitchen essentials included, you can ease into your new home without a hassle.

You’ll be sharing the house with two of us: myself (your friendly semi-retired tech consultant, working from home most days and involved in a few charities), and one other boarder — a vet nurse student in his 30s with a laid-back, outdoorsy vibe. He’s sociable, helps out with the garden, and brings a good energy to the house. While he might look a bit tough at first glance, he’s a bit of a softie underneath — especially when it comes to animals.

Speaking of which, he shares the house with two rescued cats. Foxy is a smoky grey long-hair with a bold personality, while Oscar is a shy short-hair who tends to keep to himself. They mostly do their own thing, but you’ll likely see them around from time to time.
