No, the price is not a mistake, and NO, there is nothing wrong with the house. Some of you have asked, so I want to make that clear. Now that that’s out of the way, why don’t you read on and you will see that I’m asking for a low rent because I need someone that is a dog lover and willing to take care of my two dogs (Huskies). I’m looking for someone to live in the farmhouse which will be occupied at times by myself and occasionally my son but not that often as my work takes me overseas for about half of the year. The bedroom has a proper size double bed and dresser and wardrobe. The property is 33 acres, with most of the land leased out to neighbours for grazing. But if you love nature, there are some great hiking trails and picnic areas. Only 30 minutes from the center of Whangarei, which is nothing for those of you whom have ever lived in Auckland. I can usually do it in 25 minutes if I take Kokupu Block Road and avoid going through Kamo. The room available is fully furnished and on a separate wing of the house, so there’s plenty of privacy, while at the same time having access to all shared spaces such as kitchen, bathroom, living room. And yes, there is a well equpped gym room for those looking to work out. But as I mentioned, the rent is minimal because I require the tenant to take care of my two dogs, which reside in the fully fenced backyard. Daily watering and feeding and giving lots of love. Also, an expectation to cut the grass around the house regularly. Tend to the flowers and keep everything inside and outside tidy is all I expect. Mowing and gardening equipment is provided. My son will be at the farm for several days, a couple of times a month and I am back from overseas about every three months and then stay for a couple of months. Both of us are pretty easy going and easy to get along with. My two huskies are already 8 years old, so not as rambunctious as pups can be, and they’re just big babies that love attention. Their outdoor lifestyle means all those horror stories of huskies in the house are avoided.
