Hey! :) We’re looking for a fellow vegan woman (ideally 25-45yo) to join our peaceful household in a sheltered Linwood side street. Walking distance to city centre. Fully fenced private garden, ideal for sunbathing. Good size bedroom, walk-in wardrobe/ storage and with your own bathroom (spa bathtub, shower over bath, sink, toilet, towel warmer).

The rent is $267, and monthly bills vary depending on electricity use. It’s a cheap place to live. We use gas for cooking, which costs $30 in total every few months. Wi-Fi is $37 per month (and we have flat netflix).

The room comes unfurnished. It has a ceiling to floor window, overlooking the garden. Blinds, new carpet, and a separate storage room, which is basically your walk-in wardrobe.

We have a big back garden surrounded by a 2.2-metre fence reinforced by trees. It provides a private space for sunbathing, gardening, or napping. You’re welcome to start a veggie garden, as we have the amenities but not the green thumbs.

The kitchen, dining area, and living room are essentially one big room. The kitchen is big enough for two people to cook, and it has a double-door fridge/freezer and plenty of storage.

The living room also has new carpet and cute green walls. It is full of natural light and super cozy and peaceful. Great for lounging, reading, or watching a movie. Photos don’t show it, but we’ve got a huge cozy couch now :)

The house is a 4 bedroom place. We have three bathrooms, two upstairs and one downstairs. We’ve just been using one each, so you can use yours as your own (almost ensuite) bathroom. Your room and bathroom are very private; no one can look into any windows.

Regarding parking, there’s plenty of on-street parking. We don’t have more space down our driveway for another car, as we’ve already got two cars taking up the space. The double garage is pretty flashy, with a new carpet, so we’re using it for hobbies, storage, and a gym set-up.

What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking a fellow vegan, tidy, and respectful woman or NB who values clear communication. This is a neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ welcoming household. Some of us are working full-time, some part-time. It would be nice to have flatmates that are social and not just hiding behind closed doors. My cat is a very cuddly and social being, so it’s a must that you get along with cats and want to interact with them. Ideally you are between 25-45 years old and have stable income. Our landlords are private and they’ll want to do a reference check for you.

About Us: You’ll be living with two women in their 30s, and one boy-cat Koda (he’s reaching 10 soon!). We’re both working and have our own lives, but are happy to hang out and chat here and there.

We value communication, sustainability, care, and cooperation. Our home is vegan (vegetarians can be considered), neurodiverse, and queer-friendly. We aim to create and grow a warm, social, and homey atmosphere. We value and respect personal spaces. Our place works to build a balance between being social and creating spaces to recharge.

We share cleaning responsibilities (weekly roster), but tbh we’re all very clean, so it’s not a hassle :)

Koda, the cat, roams freely and loves to hang out with people. So we’d prefer if you’re a cat-person and open to spending time with the lil boi.
