We have a great space available at our place in Island Bay. A light, sunny bedroom, with a lovely outlook, and it’s own sitting room/office/yoga space/or whatever, connected.
Happy to rent it out furnished or unfurnished. The adjoining room is shown both empty and furnished in the pictures.
The house is roomy - with fully separate kitchen, dining and living areas.
There’s tall trees around, and plenty of birdsong. It’s a restful peaceful location.
It’s about a 6 minute walk to the beach, coastal tracks and bus stops. The Island Bay village is maybe 20 minutes walk - or hop on a bus. Village has great cafes, supermarket, takeaways, library, medical centre, post office…….
It’s easy access to the house - no steps. There’s safe, free on street parking.
$18 a week each pays for utilities and supplies - - - Internet, rubbish collection, loo paper, cleaning products and misc. household basics, as well as a fortnightly cleaner for the bathrooms.
The power bill is divided each month - it’s around $22 over winter - $15 over summer.
It’s a no smoking or vaping property.

We’re looking for relaxed, friendly, independent and considerate people. We all like it pretty clean and tidy - so we’re looking for that too!
We are fine with either long or short term flatmates.
Having friends over sometimes is all good - but this is definitely not a party house.
I will live on the property in my tiny home from later on this year. I also have a design studio in the main house. So I am a part of the whole set up, in a loose way.
