Due to our flatmate moving back overseas, we are looking for a new flatmate to share a house with 2 others in Hornby, Christchurch.

The Room/s: Sunny bedroom with built-in wardrobe & wall heater. Can be either un-furnished or fully furnished (extra $15pw) as shown in photos. If additional space is required, there is also a 4th small room/office available (extra $30pw). Note - these rooms are suitable for ONE (1) person only, NOT a couple, friends or children.

The House: Large sunny double-glazed sunroom, large sunny private backyard, vege/fruit garden, small storage shed. Off-street parking for each occupant. Shared bathroom with both shower & bath tub, separate toilet. New carpet & thermal curtains throughout. New roof & floor insulation. House is tidy & clean. Shared areas all fully furnished.

Location: Quiet neighbourhood in Hornby. Mall, Dressmart, food outlets, sports field all nearby. Canterbury Uni, Lincoln Uni, Rolleston, Riccarton, Airport all approx 15 min drive.

Availability: October 2026 onwards (exact date TBC). Short term or long term ok. 3 weeks bond, 1 weeks rent, signed agreement required to move in. 4 weeks notice to move out.

Existing occupants: 2 females in mid/late 30s - 1 worker (homeowner) & 1 student/worker (flatmate). 2 adult female cats, fully house-trained, indoor/outdoor, love cuddles!

Ideal flatmate: 1 flatmate (no couples/friends/children). Must be between 25-45 yrs old (no younger or older please). Reliable, clean, tidy, respectful, trustworthy, friendly, has flatting experience. Must be already living in NZ (no enquries from outside of NZ please). Must be able to move in 2026, not accepting enquries for 2027. Social a bonus. Vaping outside only. Strictly no smokers/alcoholics/drug users.

Pets: 1 cat ok (no more than 1), must be fully house trained, indoor/outdoor & ok living with other cats. Strictly NO DOGS (no matter the size/breed) as property is NOT fully fenced & existing cats do NOT get along with them - sorry!
