Hauraki – Queen bedroom + Private Study $365/wk including expenses. Spacious rooms with French doors to your own private library/study. Quiet south wing of warm, character-filled home. Plenty of activities to engage in locally for entertainment, leisure, fitness, and relaxation. A substantial range of retail shops, cafes, and restaurants in easy driving or walking range. Excellent beach walks including Takapuna, Milford, Narrow Neck and Cheltenham, as well as nature reserves. Very close to bus stations, and my home borders the Takapuna to Milford cycle and walking trail! Ferries a short drive away or longer walk departing from Devonport and Bayswater to the CBD and other destinations. Much to explore across the city, from art galleries and museums to markets, clubs, bars, day walks, west Auckland beaches and forests, boutique shops, and cultural and sporting events aplenty.

Hey I’m Sam – a liberal creative type with a background in academia, the arts, and politics. I love stimulating conversation, cooking, and cultural exchange, but I also value quiet time for writing, reading, gardening, and listening to music. I’m at the gym most days and enjoy keeping active. Used to hike a fair bit and keen to get back to it, both multi-day and day hikes.
