A cozy, private, waterfront cottage on our property that’s just a 25-minute rush-hour commute to the CBD. The unit consists of a 30m2 studio and ensuite, fully furnished*, with AC, wifi and all utilities included.

Its private entrance opens onto our garden which has a gate directly onto the Tamaki Path running along the river for scenic walks, runs, rides, or paddles anytime. The views east over the river from the deck and living area often include striking rainbows and sunrises, and you can hear the gentle sounds of seabirds and the tide coming in and going out.

Combine this wonderful setting with being just a 5 min drive (or 5 min walk+10 min bus) to the Glen Innes or Panmure transport centres and you’re just minutes from the CBD, Auckland Uni or other central locations. We’re also 12 minutes from Sylvia Park and IKEA.

Amenities include a queen bed with quality mattress, microwave, fridge, toaster, induction hotplate, and jug. Plenty of street parking and an automatic security gate with remote control.

Students welcome. Will consider a couple and/or possibly a cat or small dog. Initial term length flexible, and could be extended. If unit is available, we are happy to do just several days or weeks, though different rates and a cleaning fee may apply.

ACCESSIBILITY: Between street level and the unit’s entrance, there are two steps up, spaced several meters apart. If this would be a challenge for you, please let us know if you’d like us to consider options (such as a ply ramp, etc.). The interior of the unit is all one level, but is not otherwise equipped specifically for accessibility or disability.

SUMMER AVAILABILITY NOTE: The unit is currently not available from 24-Dec through 15-Jan. If you will want to stay beyond 23-Dec, we can discuss options.

*If you prefer to bring/use some of your own furniture, we could probably store some of ours. Just message us to talk about it. We can also store a few boxes (or equivalent) of personal belongings on site for you.

My wife and I live in the main house on the property (which is a separate building adjacent to the cottage).
