Large 18sqm room with private en suite bathroom, heat pump, built-in wardrobe, wall-hung TV and separate entrance that leads onto large backyard deck. There is also a temperamental spa (generally works but sometimes needs TLC).

Rent is $290 pw for single occupancy or $325 for couples. Bills are about $150 per month for electricity, wifi, trash and a fortnightly housecleaner.

It is a very tranquil spot despite being just a 5 min walk to Karori shops, restaurants, bus stops (2, 18 and 21 with easy access to town, Vic, the train station and the airport). Plenty of free on-street parking.

Full kitchen with dishwasher, sitting room with TV, dining area, laundry room with washer and dryer plus space to line-dry items even in winter. House and garden are well-maintained. If you enjoy gardening I have two large vege beds. (Note deck, spa and garden are shared space.)

Available furnished or semi-furnished. Currently has king-size bed, two dressers, two bedside tables, sitting chair.

House is the rear unit and up a flight of stairs. (A stair-lift is available if you have mobility issues but I would not describe the house as “accessible.”)

Unfortunately, no pets, no children, no smoking (not even on the deck).

You’ll be living with me (owner, 56m, IT professional) and my son (21m, studying architecture at Vic). I am vegetarian but my son is not.
