About the room

Tidy brick and tile home built within the last decade, so still in great nick! Clean, modern interior with minimal/eclectic decor including oil portraits by yours truly and, naturally, a veritable jungle of plants.

Available room is part of an ‘annex’ down a hall+storage with access to main toilet/bath which can be fully closed off for privacy. The toilet/bath will be entirely yours, as the occupied master bedroom has its own ensuite. Room is partially furnished for a quick-start, but items can be stored if not required. Currently contains a double bed, side table, set of drawers, gas heater etc. Anything larger than a queen sized bed would be a bit snug in my opinion. Sliding doors lead to compact private deck which gets loads of morning sun.

Quick walk to Waipu township (shops, eateries, post-office) 15min drive to Waipu Cove, 10mins extra to Langs Beach. 2min drive to SH1. Great mid-point between Auckland and Whangarei. Loads of parking space. Home sits adjacent to a road so there will be some noise during peak-hour, but property is fenced and home is double glazed which helps. Personally I don’t much notice it anymore :)

About the roomies

You’ll be sharing the house with myself (37/F) plus a friendly ginger tomcat. I am a solitary creative individual who works full time and spends their free time reading, writing and gaming. This is a chill space, more a sanctuary, for decompressing and recharging after a hard day’s work, and will suit someone who has similar energy requirements.

The surrounding neighbours are friendly and active, mostly retirees - so you’ll have access to support and security. Waipu is a small but close-knit area. Perfect for those who prefer a quiet solo lifestyle but still want to feel connected and part of their community :)
