About the room

BOND PAYABLE IS $934 + 2 WEEKS RENT OF $440

RENT: $220 A WEEK

  • UTILITIES: $25 A WEEK

The room available is the smaller of the three in the apartment. It comes with a double bed frame if needed (can be dismantled if you prefer) and includes a wardrobe. The room opens into the lounge, but because the building is made of stone, it stays really quiet throughout.

The apartment has a spacious kitchen with a four-element electric/convection stovetop and sink, plus regularly maintained wooden floors that are routinely mopped. There’s also a side door near the room for rent, which is already established as off-limits for privacy. The lounge is a good size and gets plenty of sun, making it a great space to relax.

The bathroom is a classic, large tiled deco style, featuring an opening window, bath and shower, and a heated towel rail. There’s also a washer/dryer in the apartment along with extra storage in the hot water cupboard.

Location-wise, it’s right in the heart of the city—just a few minutes’ walk to K’ Road and Queen Street, making it super convenient for uni and city life. You can easily walk to AUT, the University of Auckland, and the Auckland Domain. It’s also only about 3 minutes to Queen Street, the Central Library, supermarkets, and a well-stocked convenience store right next door.

The place also includes outdoor deck and garden access perfect for summer BBQs as well as access to a large commercial laundry facility on site.

About the roomies

FLATMATE 1: Heya my name is Samantha, I am 20 and currently studying screen production, I am interested in cars and really passionate about anything creative, especially film and photography. I’m a pretty easygoing person who enjoys getting out and about whether that’s going on little adventures, exploring new places, or going for a night out. At home, I like to keep things clean and tidy, I’m respectful of shared spaces and do my part to keep the flat feeling comfortable. I also love a good movie night (comes with the territory of studying film), so I’m always keen to chill with flatmates over a film or two when i am not working or doing school work.

FLATMATE 2: Hi, my name is Kimberlee, I’m 20 years old and currently studying Early Childhood Education at AUT. I’m a pretty easy-going flatmate who enjoys a good balance of social time and personal space. I love a social outings, whether that’s a night out, a girls’ night in with snacks and a movie, or going shopping-I’m usually keen for anything. At the same time, I also really value my own downtime, which I usually spend reading or just relaxing in my room. I’m originally from a small country town, so I’m still enjoying exploring the city and trying new things. Since I love reading, I’m always happy to chat about books too!
