Kia ora, potential flattie! I’m looking for someone for the other room in my house.

Rent is $190 per week, not including power and wifi, which will be about $30 per week, possibly higher in winter.

The room is semi- furnished with a chest of drawers and modular shelving storage. I’m looking for someone to stay for at least one year. Please be aware it is a smaller room in an apartment.

The living room, kitchen and bathroom are fully furnished with furniture, cooking utensils, dishes, etc. It’s an open plan with a glass door to a small courtyard outside.

Inside there’s a heat pump - and because the walls are concrete, the house is really well insulated in winter. There is one shared bathroom for the apartment.

It’s a quiet area near Steele Park and the river with on street parking. There are the Hamilton East shops 2 minutes walk away and bus stops too. It’s about a 15 minutes’ walk to either Victoria street in the city, and to Waikato University.

The apartment is on a quiet street, and has an electric gate to the property for security. Pets are negotiable (no dogs though sorry), and this is a LGBTQ+ / queer-friendly house.

I like to keep common living spaces vaguely clean and tidy. We’ll have a regular cleaning + rubbish schedule together.

I live in the other room, and I’m in my early 30s. My friends would describe me as nerdy, quiet, creative, and friendly. I’m a vegetarian, christian, non-binary person who’s pretty open-minded. I have two cats. I value respecting each other’s personal belongings and space.
