About the room
Kia ora, potential flattie! Iβm looking for someone for the other room in my house.
Rent is $180 per week, not including power and wifi, which will be about $30 per week, possibly higher in winter.
The room is semi- furnished with a chest of drawers and modular shelving storage. Iβm looking for someone to stay for at least one year. Please be aware it is a smaller room in an apartment.
The living room, kitchen and bathroom are fully furnished with furniture, cooking utensils, dishes, etc. Itβs an open plan with a glass door to a small courtyard outside.
Inside thereβs a heat pump - and because the walls are concrete, the house is really well insulated in winter. There is one shared bathroom for the apartment.
Itβs a quiet area near Steele Park and the river with on street parking. There are the Hamilton East shops 2 minutes walk away and bus stops too. Itβs about a 15 minutesβ walk to either Victoria street in the city, and to Waikato University.
The apartment is on a quiet street, and has an electric gate to the property for security. Pets are negotiable (no dogs though sorry), and this is a LGBTQ+ / queer-friendly house.
I like to keep common living spaces vaguely clean and tidy. Weβll have a regular cleaning + rubbish schedule together.
If this sounds like it might suit you, please email me with
your age, gender, occupation some info about yourself your preferred move in date
Flat is available from 26th June 2026, possibly a week or two earlier.
Moving costs- 2 weekβs bond One weekβs rent and power in advance
About the roomies
I live in the other room, and Iβm in my early 30s. My friends would describe me as nerdy, quiet, creative, and friendly. Iβm a vegetarian, christian, non-binary person whoβs pretty open-minded. I have two cats. I value respecting each otherβs personal belongings and space.
