Our interesting studio apartment is available to rent. It is situated over our garage, which is attached to the main house on our property. The main house is a semi-historic 1910 villa, but the apartment was built in 2018.

While I describe it as a studio, it has a small separate bedroom. This fits a queen sized bed (although currently the bed is in the main room as shown), and has a deep floor-to-ceiling built in shelf, but won’t take a great deal else. The main room is very large and has an attached toilet and sink. It also has a kitchenette, which has a two burner induction hob, a fridge/freezer, a small dishwasher, microwave, and a bench with a sink and cupboards. A single bed can be provided for the small room. No photo has been supplied of this room because it is awkward to photograph, as is the shower space. It would make a nice office.

Currently supplied in the main room are a couch, a glass coffee table, and a pop-up table with stools. We do have other additional furniture, such as a tv table. A shower for the studio is on a small room off the landing on the stairs to the studio, only used by the occupant of the studio.

Some minor appliances and crockery/cutlery are currently supplied. Laundry facilities can be shared with the main house, although load numbers are limited.

As the studio is a new build, it is double glazed and fully insulated. It has radiators and a ceiling fan.

The studio would probably suit a single person best, although a couple or a single person with a child could work. There is off street parking, and a park inside the garage may become available at the end of the year. The property is semi-rural, but only 5 minutes from Onerahi shops. There is no designated outdoor area for the studio, but the property is large and there are many shared outdoor spaces.

The rent includes power, water and fibre internet. The main house is being renovated, so there can be noise from this during work hours. Otherwise it is a quiet household. It is a safe place to live.

Ideally, you will be quiet, clean, and employed. No smokers. Unfortunately, no pets are permitted as a general rule as there are already two dogs, two cats, and eleven chickens on the property, none of whom are particularly relaxed.

The studio is also currently listed on Airbnb, so this may affect its availability.

Four of us live in the main house, three adults and a six-year-old. We are mostly quiet. We work from home so are usually in. Our two large dogs and one of the cats also live with us. We spend most of our leisure time working on the house. Occasionally this makes a racket, but usually we are quiet. There is also a cottage on the property with one adult and our other cat.
