The house on the property is 22 years old and is the usual large house on a too small section. There are 4 bedrooms, including an en-suite which the owner uses. The front bench between the retaining walls and the front lawn are somewhat messy as they have been laid down in permaculture but they need weeding. The front lawn on the section and the side gardens are messy because the owner has over committed himself but they will get tidied up shortly. If you are a gardener, there is ample room to garden. The rooms are all double rooms in that they can hold a double bed and one of the rooms has a double bed available. Couples would be given preference for that. The shared bathroom has both a bath and a shower. It is lockable and all the bedrooms have are lockable. There is a very adequate clothes line outside and in wet weather the garage may be used for drying clothing. Otherwise, there is no use of the garage. There is no parking on site but the road berm beside the section has room for four or five cars at. The house is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Bethlehem shopping centre and about a 30 minute walk to the Brookfield shopping centre. It is a 5 minute walk to the Bethlehem wetland and there are good footpaths all around the area. Driving into town usually takes between 8 and 10 minutes but it can be another 5 or 6 minutes in heavy traffic.

Currently the owner and one flatmate have the only occupiers. The owner is a 78 year old retired solicitor who works part time in Judea. The sole present flatmate is 42 and is from Brazil, working as a painter. He has been in the flat for 2 years. Neither of us cares who occupies the other rooms so long as they are quiet and polite, do their share of chores and, from the owners point of view, pay the rent on time. People who are working will be given preference and if you need money from WINZ in order to pay your rent or pay the bond, please do not apply. The owner does not usually require references but you will need to show official ID and the owner reserves the right to check your credit history. Note that rental will increase for couples to $350 per week. Power, water and gas bills are all divided equally between the number of flatmates on any given day or days.
