Hiya! 👋 I’m Katie, a yopro in my early 30s who has just moved over to Welly from Leeds in the UK to start a job as an economist in the public sector! I’m expecting to be in New Zealand for at least a year and am on the lookout for somewhere I can call a proper home, rather than just somewhere to sleep!

I’m friendly, sociable and always up for a chat, but also keep myself busy and am respectful of people’s space. I’m hoping to find a warm, welcoming flat with people who enjoy being social and getting to know each other.. whether that’s heading out for flat drinks, cooking some dinner together, having a chill evening in, or just chatting in the kitchen after work!

In my free time, I love live music and gigs, dancing (especially salsa 💃), hiking and exploring new places. I also enjoy cooking and baking, so future flatmates can expect to enjoy some my creations! I’m clean and considerate, and would love to find a flat where everyone contributes to making the place feel like a home 🏡

I’m initially focusing my house search on Newtown, Aro Valley and Mount Victoria, but I’m open to anywhere with a similar community feel and an easy commute to my new office on The Terrace. I’m very excited to get properly settled in Wellington, get exploring and meet some lovely new flatmates along the way! ✨
