We have a room that will be available soon and are looking for our new flatmate!

Our flat is located in Riccarton conveniently across the road from Riccarton mall and a short walk to the bus stops. We even have a nice little courtyard and a bbq ready for summer.

Our ideal flatmate would be: -someone outgoing and always up for a yarn -clean and tidy, we are wanting someone to help with cleaning the communal area of this place -respectful and transparent -female in your 20s (sharing a bathroom with a female so makes things a little bit easier). Male has own ensuite downstairs. -not suitable for a couple sorry

Medium size upstairs bedroom with large built in wardrobe in Riccarton on Maxwell Street.

It fits a double bed, beside cabinet, desk and shelf with room to move still + the wardrobe.

The property manager got an additional heat pump installed in the hallway right outside the room earlier this year to comply with healthy homes standards. Extremely helpful property manager - recently had the kitchen light replaced and outdoor sensor light.

The rent is $155 per week for the room (bond of $560) and our lease is a periodic tenancy.

Everyone is named on the tenancy. Bills all split 3 ways and payable around the 20th of each month.

The flat is furnished (as shown in photos except we now have a different fridge freezer in the kitchen and another couch) so you’ll only need to supply your own bedroom furniture. There may be the possibility of purchasing the bed and mattress from departing tenant.

Washing machine in the garage with a room downstairs suitable for airing clothes or out in the fully enclosed courtyard (I also have a fridge/freezer downstairs I use to help with extra fridge space in the kitchen).

Space in the garage for a bike but car parking will be on the street.

Unlimited Internet $26.67 each per month.

Power approximately $40 - $100 per month split evenly (Summer to Winter range since I moved in last July).

As much as we both love animals the lease states no pets allowed.

New tenant will need to supply references for Harcourts.

Existing tenants - female 25 studying a Masters in Speech and Language Pathology, male 28 working in hospitality and other event roles.  Both mostly do their own thing but always happy to chat.

We are looking for someone friendly to make the flat more of a home environment than just a boarding situation. It’s nice to be able to have a conversation and socialise sometimes but always happy to give each other space.
