There’s a large master en-suite bedroom with walk in wardrobe and balcony available in a beautiful, recently built house in St John’s. The house has double glazing and a heat pump/aircon upstairs.

House layout: The room going is upstairs and has sliding doors onto a spacious balcony, which also joins to the living area and kitchen. On the same level is the guest toilet. Downstairs there are two more bedrooms, one is mine (just me - 34yr female) and the other smaller bedroom is my 3yr old son’s who lives with me 3-4 days a week on set days. He’s a cheeky happy little thing who sleeps through the night, but your room would also be far away. There’s also another bathroom downstairs that we use, the garage with the washer & dryer, a tiny back courtyard and the front door.

About the room: It’s modern, warm and spacious. Soft carpets. I’ll supply a queen bed. It has a walkway into a little dressing area with a double sink and a big walk-in-wardrobe. The ensuite has a large modern double size shower. There’s some big sliding doors which open onto the balcony which is large with a table and chairs and you can just see the water. The balcony can also be accessed from the living area. It gets full morning sun and stays until about 3ish.

Living with a toddler: Don’t be worried about noise levels - we’ve tested out the sound proofing and it’s awesome. When he’s down in bed, the TV can still be just as loud and he hears nothing. Also mine and Casey’s rooms are downstairs, the room for rent is upstairs and we’ve never heard each other. He’s at daycare Mon-Fri 7:30-4:30/5ish and goes to bed about 7pm. I have him 3-4 days a week on set days. He’s also with me Sat morn & Sun afternoon.

The area is really nice, quiet and feels safe. The neighbours are lovely and we also never hear them. There’s a super nice little french bakery and coffee shop just a minutes walk up the road, a bus stop nearby to the city as well as Glen Innes train station an easy walk or car ride, or a good cycle path straight to the city. Countdown and pak’n’save are down the road. Nearby Gyms. A Columbus coffee. I recommend the area.

Rent includes bills (ultra fast fibre, electricity, water), extras (netflix, neon, disney) and shared house supplies (kitchen paper, bin bags, guest toilet toilet roll, washing up liquid etc.)

Move in date is flexible, earlier or later.

Hey, I’m an easy going operations and sales manager, living in a rental in St John’s with my 3 yr old cheeky happy son who is with me 3-4 days of the week. I’m English - moved over here about 8 years ago and here to stay! I enjoy living with others and get along with most people :). I’m pretty tidy, respectful, sociable but also enjoy having my own time too.

I love a good movie, TV binge, books, board games, gaming, painting, red wine and eating out. I also have a yoga class and open mics I usually go to weekly.

I work full-time in the week (Wed and Fri from home) and my son is at daycare full-time. He’s at home with me in the evenings every couple days or so. I alternate with his Dad on set days. Casey is 3 and loves helping me cook, reading books, playing outside, music and animals. He sleeps through the night, and goes down between 7pm until 6am ish.
