Flatmate wanted for large sunny room in a quiet house 10 mins from central Christchurch.

The house is in Sydenham/st martins cusp, is sunny, double glazed, and spacious with 2 indoor living areas and 2 outdoor living areas. It’s down a long drive, on a back section, so very private. Off street carpark available in a large carport for a small to medium sized car, otherwise lots of street parking available. 10 mins drive from central Christchurch, and bus stop 1 min walk away.

The room has a large double wardrobe and enough space for a queen or king bed, plus bedside tables and chest of drawers. Can be furnished with a queen bed if necessary.

Rent is $250 per week and includes all expenses (internet, electricity, toilet paper, basic cleaning supplies, dishwashing liquid, hand wash etc). Any extra expenses will be split evenly (ie extra power in winter) but with moderate use, this shouldn’t be necessary.

Will be sharing the house with myself, 35 year old female who works full time, and a 1.5 year old dachshund who is super friendly. You must be a dog lover as she will come to greet you when you get home and demand pats and cuddles. No other pets possible unfortunately. Toilet and bathroom to be shared with myself.

Looking for someone aged 30+ who is working, very clean and tidy, responsible and reliable and will pay rent on time. No couples or smokers/vapers. Not a party house, need to be respectful of each other’s privacy and quiet time but also open to watching a movie or cooking a meal/ having a drink together. The cleaning of the house, including lawns, will be shared between the both of us. There is plenty of space to set up a vege garden if you’re into that, and there is a feijoa tree, plum tree and raspberry bushes on the property. There is a small shed which can store small items, but no garage.

Room available in either April or early May - will depend on when the current flatmate can move out. References will be required. Bond of $500 to be paid.
