It is fully furnished with a double bed, set of drawers, clothes hanger and bedside table. The shower is included in the room. Room rental includes wifi and power. Shared expenses are extra but very affordable. The security deposit/bond is $560 plus 1 week’s rental in advance. A commitment for 3-month minimum term is required. There are 3 shared bathrooms plus a communal kitchen, dining area and a couple of lounge areas. This is a No Smoking environment inside, and outside, the building. There is no suitable space for smoking outside or around the building. We can offer a short term tenancy option until 31 December 2025.
There are currently 3 other tenants who are all working or studying in NZ from Indonesia and France. Easy-going, clean and tidy they share common household tasks and cleaning associated with the running and upkeep of the place. We communicate via WhatsApp for any queries and updates. My husband Ben and I have owned this building since 2017 and operated the upstairs rooms through Airbnb until 2020. We have offered short and long-term accommodation options for travellers and kiwis since 2019 and provide a solution for people looking for a comfortable place to live in a central city location.
