We have a variety of rooms available for rent in our character building located at top of Willis/Victoria St close to the CBD. There is a single room at $280/week available now, 2-3 queen size rooms at $380/week and a middle size room with queen bed for $320/week. All room rentals include power and Wifi. Shared expenses are extra but very affordable. The security deposit/bond range from $560 for the single room to $760 for the Queen size room. I also ask for 2 weeks rent to be paid in advance. A total of $1120-$1600 required to pay at the outset depending on the room size, and a commitment for 3-month minimum term is required. After that a month-by-month arrangement is fine. The rooms are light and spacious and furnished with either a single/double or queen bed, plus bedside table and clothes rack. Shower is included in the room. There are 3 shared bathrooms plus a communal kitchen, dining area and a couple of lounge areas. This is a No Smoking environment inside, and outside, the building. There is no suitable space for smoking outside or around the building.
There are currently 2 other professional tenants living in the building who are aged between 20-30 years old. Easy-going, clean and tidy they share common household tasks and cleaning associated with the running and upkeep of the place. A total of 6-8 tenants in the building works best with the shared facilities. We all communicate via WhatsApp for any queries and updates. My husband Ben and I have owned this building since 2017 and operated the upstairs rooms through Airbnb until 2020. We have offered short and long-term accommodation options for travellers and kiwis since 2021 and provide a solution for people looking for a comfortable place to live in a central city location.
