We have a room available from 23rd of March in our spacious house in Island Bay. The room is available for around three months - possibly longer. The room has a king single bed, a little set of drawers and a built in wardrobe.
The supermarket, village shops, cafes, library and bus stops are outside the gate. It’s a 5 minute stroll to the cinema and 10 to the beach.
It is a big house with different places to relax in. The dining and lounge rooms are separate - so it never feels crowded or noisy. There is also a shared quiet work/study space.
We are on a flat private section with an old style garden.
Expenses of $24.50 a week pays for: a cleaner for the bathroom, basic household cleaning supplies, toilet paper, internet, rubbish collection and a groundsman. Power and gas are an additional cost averaging out at about $20 a week.
We are a mixture of ages (9,25,34,38,39&52) and professions (WHV, occupational therapist, masters student, yoga and dance teacher and a project manager). We also have a mix of places of origin (UK, France, India and America). Our combined interests include music, film, cycling, cooking, surfing, yoga, dance and more.
We are an independent, open minded, friendly, respectful sort of a group. We stop for a chat every so often and sometimes get together for an at home movie.
Friends around sometimes is fine but parties are out.
The home is well organised and runs very happily.
The property is smoke and vape free.
