There is off street parking. You are less than a five minute drive away from Cromwell town centre (or a 20 minute walk if you walk briskly!) and just over a five min walk to the lake in the other direction.

The bedroom has a sliding door that opens out onto the deck. The room is carpeted (very little wear and tear) and has thick curtains.

There is a queen-sized bed with two built in drawers, an electric blanket, a bedside table with two large, deep drawers and another two drawer cabinet as well - so six large drawers in total.

There is a small wardrobe built in.

Has a large mirror (from waist height up) that has a floating shelf underneath it for a few toiletries etc.

There is a wood burner in the open plan living/kitchen/dining area.

You will only be sharing with one other person, me! I have an ensuite, so you will have the main bathroom to yourself, most of the time (if my friends visit they sleep in the study which has a fold out bed. They will also share that bathroom, but that will only be occasionally, and I will clean the space before and after when they visit). I currently work four days per week - Tuesdays-Fridays.

The rent includes power and wifi. However, if the roomie works from home, power bills may have to be reviewed. My roomie is responsible for buying their own food, tidying up the kitchen after themselves (there is a dishwasher), doing their own laundry and cleaning their bathroom.

I have returned to New Zealand after having taught in Cambodia, Germany and Australia. Left NZ in 2005. Arrived back here in Cromwell January 2023.

Looking forward to a quieter pace of life, this is semi-retirement for me. If you have a mature outlook, and are not looking to move into a party house this could work!

I have thoroughly enjoyed hosting four other short term Roomies previously (from six weeks to three months), so looking forward to having another positive experience.
